Robert Steven Miola is the Gerard Manley Hopkins Professor of English and Lecturer in Classics at Loyola University Maryland. Among his published books are Shakespeare’s Rome (Cambridge, 1983), Shakespeare and Classical Tragedy (Oxford, 1992), Shakespeare and Classical Comedy (Oxford, 1994), editions of Shakespeare (Hamlet, Macbeth, Comedy of Errors, Much Ado about Nothing) and Ben Jonson (Every Man In His Humour, The Case is Altered). He has also published Early Modern Catholicism: An Anthology of Primary Sources (Oxford, 2007) and an edition of Chapman’s Iliad (MHRA, 2017). He has also written numerous articles on Renaissance Catholicism and on Renaissance receptions of classical texts and authors, Latin and Greek.
