Nathalie Vienne Guerrin<\/p><\/div>\n

Nathalie Vienne-Guerrin is Professor of Early Modern English Literature at the Universit\u00e9 Paul-Val\u00e9ry Montpellier 3<\/a> (France) and head of the \u201cInstitut de Recherche sur la Renaissance, l\u2019\u00e2ge Classique et les Lumi\u00e8res\u201d (UMR 5186, research centre of the French National Centre for Scientific Research, CNRS<\/a>, IRCL<\/a>).<\/p>\n

She is co-general editor of the international journal Cahiers \u00c9lisab\u00e9thains<\/em><\/a> (Sage) and of the online journal Arr\u00eat sur Sc\u00e8ne\/Scene Focus<\/em><\/a>. She is also co-leading (with Patricia Dorval) a programme on Shakespeare on Screen in Francophonia<\/a>. She is currently the coordinator of the Erasmus + Strategic Partnership NEW FACES<\/a> (Facing Europe in Crisis: Shakespeare\u2019s World and Present Challenges).<\/p>\n

She has published a number of articles on insults, the evil tongue and the war of tongues in Shakespeare\u2019s plays.<\/p>\n

She co-edited (with Claire Gheeraert-Graffeuille) Autour du Songe d\u2019une Nuit d\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9<\/em> (2003). She co-edited (with Sarah Hatchuel), Shakespeare on Screen<\/em>: A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream (2004), Shakespeare on Screen:<\/em> Richard III (2005), Television Shakespeare: Essays in honour of Mich\u00e8le Willems<\/em> (2008), Shakespeare on Screen: The Henriad<\/em> (2008) and Shakespeare on Screen: The Roman Plays<\/em> (2009), Shakespeare on Screen<\/em>: Hamlet (2011), Shakespeare on screen:<\/em> Macbeth (2013), Shakespeare on screen:<\/em> Othello, Cambridge University Press (2015), Shakespeare on Screen: <\/em>The Tempest and Late Romances<\/em>, Cambridge University Press (2017).<\/p>\n

She published The Unruly Tongue in Early Modern England, Three Treatises<\/em><\/a>, Fairleigh Dickinson, 2012.<\/p>\n

She is the author of Shakespeare’s Insults: A Pragmatic Dictionary<\/em><\/a> (Bloomsbury, 2016).<\/p>\n
