Her main research interests have focussed on Restoration and early modern drama and literary culture as well as Shakespearean adaptations. She wrote a book on Restoration and early eighteenth-century tragedy (QuiEdit 2015) and on James II\u2019s devotional papers and\u00a0<em>Imago Regis<\/em>\u00a0(ETS 2009). She also authored articles on John Dryden (2000), Robert Browning (2002, 2010), Thomas Otway (2007), Edmund Gosse (2009),\u00a0<em>The Tempest<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0<em>commedia dell\u2019arte<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge 2012), madness and autobiography in seventeenth-century England (2012 and 2013), and\u00a0<em>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>\u00a0on the nineteenth-century Italian stage (2013 and 2017), and Shakespearean eighteenth-century adaptations (2020 and 2021). She co-edited a miscellany on\u00a0<em>The Tempest<\/em>\u00a0(Palgrave 2014) and on\u00a0<em>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>\u00a0(Routledge 2016). In 2018 she edited a collection on\u00a0<em>Romeo and Juliet<\/em>\u00a0and its afterlife (ETS 2018) and co-edited (with Maddalena Pennacchia) the forthcoming 2022 special issue of\u00a0<em>Cahiers \u00c9lizab\u00e9thains<\/em>.
