He is the author of\u00a0<i>Edmund Spenser: A Life<\/i>\u00a0(2012, paperback 2014), and\u00a0<i>Shakespeare and Republicanism<\/i>\u00a0(2005, paperback 2008), and he has edited various volumes, including\u00a0<i>The Oxford Handbook of Early Modern Prose<\/i>\u00a0(2014).
