She has collaborated with some of the major figures of the experimental theatre in Rome, such as Mario Ricci and Giuliano Vasilic\u00f2. She has also worked wih Benno Besson, Peppe Barra and Lamberto Lambertini, Ennio Coltorti, Luca De Fusco, Giancarlo Sepe and Gigi Proietti. She is the author of <em>Infernetto <\/em>(2004, with Giorgio Tirabassi) and <em>Intestam\u00e9 <\/em>(2011, with Carlo Ragone). She was assistant director of <em>Romeo e Giulietta <\/em>(2003 and 2013) and <em>Edmund Kean <\/em>(2016) both directed by Gigi Proietti at the Silvano Toti Globe Theatre in Rome. For the same theatre she translated and directed <em>Molto rumore per nulla <\/em>(2006 and 2014), <em>Come vi piace <\/em>(2007), <em>Il Mercante di Venezia <\/em>(2008 and 2015), and <em>La bisbetica domata <\/em>(2018). She is also the author and director of <em>Playing Shakespeare<\/em>, a lecture performance on Elizabethan theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Loredana Scaramella has held practical-theoretical workshops on theatre and the acting profession at several institutions \u2013 among them, the Collegi Universitari in Pavia, the Associazione degli Insegnanti Svizzeri in Geneva and the Accademia Nazionale d\u2019Arte Drammatica Silvio D\u2019Amico, where she taught within the <em>Audition <\/em>Master\u2019s Degree for many years. She has worked as acting coach for popular TV series such as <em>Un medico in famiglia<\/em> e <em>Compagni di scuola<\/em>, and has taken part in several theatre, television and cinema projects as casting director over the years. She is currently engaged in teaching modules on Shakespeare and acting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has also worked as translator and freelance journalist for publishers, newspapers and magazines, and she is the editor of a collection of short stories by Villiers de l\u2019Isle Adam (<em>Racconti Crudeli<\/em>, 1980) and translator of Sarah Bernhardt\u2019s autobiography (<em>La mia doppia vita<\/em>, 1981); in 2004 she has also published a collection of poems (<em>Quadri senza figure<\/em>), finalist at the Premio Nazionale Alfonso Gatto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bionote Loredana Scaramella works for the theatre and television as actress, director, casting director and writer.
